Despite her calm, cool exterior, Marguerite Giguere’s heart raced in anticipation. She couldn’t believe she was actually about to conquer one of her biggest fears. As the plane ascended to 14,000 feet above solid ground, her fear was momentarily thwarted by the sun’s glowing reflection on the Tacoma landscape beneath her. But the instructor’s shouting orders snapped her right back into the moment and the challenge that awaited. Marguerite placed her goggles on her face and headgear atop her head as the door opened. The noise sent a shockwave through her body. “Ready, set, go!!!” and she went for it, bravely jumping into a clear, cool, bright-blue Washington sky, screaming in exhilaration on her way down.

“There aren’t enough exclamation points to describe the feeling and do this incredible experience justice,” Marguerite says. “That was a truly life-changing moment that showed me anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”

She has since made 150 sky dives and shows no signs of letting up.
